The Littman Library of Jewish Civilization, established in 1965, publishes
scholarly works that explain and perpetuate the Jewish heritage. Following
the guidelines laid down by its founder, it publishes works of scholarship
that reflect objectivity, fresh research, and new insight, and that are
as far as possible definitive in their field. The Library also publishes
translations of contemporary scholarship originally published in other
languages, as well as translations of Hebrew classics, so as to make the
Jewish religious and literary heritage more accessible to English-speaking
readers. |
